With the increase in manufacture of wireless networking products, it is now possible to build a home wireless network cheaply. Cheap does not necessarily imply bad. Due to the expansion of the Internet and faster Internet speeds many people are looking for simple out of the box solutions to build a home network and share their Internet connection. This has increased competition amongst a lot of wireless networking product manufacturers to produce such solutions. For the consumer this means lower, cheaper prices and wireless networking becoming available to all. More expensive products normally have more features built into them. For example wireless routers may have a built in firewall. Some products are simply more expensive because of their brand name.
